BUSY SIGNAL “MASH UP DI PLACE” DURING 2017 NBA FINALS HALFTIME IN OAKLAND, CA



New York, NY (June 12, 2017) – The NBA Finals just featured “Watch Out Fi Dis” in the Oracle Arena during the 2017 NBA Championship Finals Halftime in Oakland, California. Adrenaline was pumping in the stadium as the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers reached a crescendo with 129/120 final score. The NBA Finals is basketball playoff at its highest level; where all the work, practices and grind through the season culminates. The lyrics piping through the stadium fittingly matched the thrill and energy permeating during Halftime - “Watch out fi dis, a di maddest lyrics/Mash up di place, push you hand up fi dis …” 

Halftime is the official break of game play between the second and third quarters of a basketball game. The Halftime break period is when teams and coaches regroup for the remaining two quarters. The NBA makes use of Halftime to entertain fans and heighten momentum. The NBA Finals is a primetime broadcast and the most watched basketball game of the season. Fans were mesmerized as the spotlight showcased brand Jamaica at the highest level during the 2017 NBA Finals. The black, green and gold shone with pride. Congratulations to both committed teams on an incredible performance.

ABOUT BUSY SIGNAL 
Born Glendale Gordon but later changed his name to Reanno Gordon. Busy Signal is an International Reggae Artist with hits such as Fresh From Yaad, Come Over, Bedroom Bully, Wine Pon Di Edge and numerous others. His collaborations include the launch of Pepsi Cola Jamaica and a feature alongside Actor Jason Statham. He was born on January 24, 1982 and raised alongside three brothers and a sister by his devoutly Christian mother in the St. Ann’s parish community of Brown’s Town, Busy’s first exposure to music, like so many Jamaican youth, was in the church. While attending services and singing hymns he realized he possessed immense vocal talent and earned his very first encore from the church congregation; when services concluded, Busy would substitute the hymnal lyrics with his own words, much to the consternation of his mother.
